Lausanne, Switzerland; Montreux, Switzerland
So the next day I met up with
Ania who I met in London. We went to the Olympic museum, which was
somewhat interesting the sculptures outside are weird and funny and the
landscaping is super. Went to eat at a pizza place that had all these
funny names for their pizzas: Bill Clinton, Spice Girls, etc. Pizza was
good. Most of the walks back from the lakeside are uphill so I wish we
would have taken the bus up to town but she insisted on walking. Went
to a church and placed a prayer note for the priests to read. Don't
know if its bad to read other peoples but some were very stupid one
about wanting to win some sports game and another about genital warts.
So that evening I headed for Montreux which is very close to Lausanne,
on the train its about 20 minutes, the hostel is Montreux is nice, its
right by the water and I got a program for the jazz festival which is
much more than jazz. I found out that Beck and Calexico 2 bands that
interest me were playing that night so I went to it and enjoyed it very
much.
